Job Description

Leidos is hiring a SQL Engineer onsite in Aurora, CO with a salary range of USD 107,900 to 195,050 per year to develop advanced SQL queries, shape data for dashboards, optimize performance at scale, and deliver high-quality datasets for analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced, high-performance SQL queries across large, complex datasets, including multi-table joins, window functions, and aggregations
  • Optimize query performance through execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and query refactoring
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting datasets
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across database and application layers
  • Shape and structure data to support efficient and intuitive dashboard visualization
  • Collaborate with ETL engineers and dashboard developers to ensure reliable end-to-end data delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 to 12 years of experience, or Master’s with 6 to 10 years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins across large datasets
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including query optimization and execution plan analysis
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including aggregations, subqueries, and window functions
  • Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar)
  • Experience working with large-scale data supporting analytics and reporting
  • Proficiency in Linux environments
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex data challenges
