Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python Developer

Based onsite in Plano, Texas, this Senior Lead Software Engineer role sits within JPMorganChase's Enterprise Technology organization. The position focuses on delivering secure, scalable software in an agile environment, with an emphasis on Python and AI/ML techniques to support the business.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical guidance and direction to the business and its technical teams, contractors, and external vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and participate in reviews and debugging of others' code.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and the technical operations and processes through decisive engineering input.
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• Actively contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices.
• Encourage peers and project stakeholders to explore and adopt leading-edge technologies.
• Foster a team culture built on diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering accompanied by at least five years of applied experience.
• Strong proficiency in programming, with Python as a core skill.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proven proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Solid Python coding ability, leveraging libraries for targeted projects.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised methods.
