Software Engineer III - AI/ML, Java/Python

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy GenAI and Agentic AI solutions to boost automation and decision making across business units.
• Design, deploy, and operate prompt-based models on LLMs for diverse NLP tasks within financial services.
• Create and sustain data pipelines and processing workflows for prompt engineering on LLMs, leveraging cloud services to scale and optimize performance.
• Deliver software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting, with a bias toward innovative approaches to solve complex problems.
• Produce secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms integrated with relevant systems.
• Generate architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure code aligns with design constraints.
• Collect, analyze, synthesize, and visualize data from large, diverse datasets to drive continuous software improvements.
• Proactively identify hidden data patterns to inform improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering plus at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data processing.
• Experience developing APIs and integrating NLP or LLM models into software applications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) for AI/ML deployment and data processing.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Strong grasp of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proven knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a discipline such as cloud, AI, ML, or related areas.
