Job Description
Design Engineer / Principal Design Engineer for Northrop Grumman's Sentinel program in Roy, UT, focusing on civil-structural design, modeling, and integration of Sentinel Launch Facilities.
Responsibilities
- Join the Infrastructure Design Team (INF) as a Design Engineer, supporting civil-structural design, modeling, and integration for Sentinel Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, and Test Facilities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to review design builds and packages, assess civil capacity, and manage contract design parameters.
Requirements
- Design Engineer: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience; 0 years with a Master’s degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Principal Design Engineer: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; 3 years with a Master’s degree; 1 year with a PhD.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance as a condition of continued employment.
- Knowledge of construction materials, construction details, and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of construction codes and standards such as ASCE, CSI Dynamic Standards, and Engineering Change Proposal nomenclature relevant to the industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Engineering Scheduling tools; proficient in using Internet resources for information gathering and communication.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to Government and corporate leadership.
- Location: Roy, Utah — onsite.
