Job Description
Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer for Vehicle Subsystems & Integration, based onsite at Whiteman AFB, MO, focusing on electrical design, analysis, requirements, and integration of aircraft subsystems with about 10% travel.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical wiring for a functional system, selecting aircraft-grade conductors and electro-mechanical components such as connectors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and terminal junctions.
- Define requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution, and circuit protection for aerospace vehicle systems, including Electrical Loads Analysis, test procedures, power architectures, reports, analyses, and related deliverables.
- Own all aspects of system and component design and development, including trade studies, layout, architecture definition, system test and verification, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to a subcontractor management team and serve as the technical focal point with suppliers for hardware development, qualification, and procurement.
- Plan and support system level tests, assist in test execution, verify results, process data, and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct system level evaluations to verify requirements and ensure airworthiness criteria are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM field with 2 years of electrical engineering experience; OR Master’s Degree in a related STEM field with 0 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems.
- Current, active US Government Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a timeframe determined by the company.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM field with 5 years of electrical engineering experience; OR Master’s Degree in a related STEM field with 3 years of electrical engineering experience; OR PhD in a related STEM field with 1 year of electrical engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with military aircraft subsystem development, including requirements definition, specification development, component analysis, procurement, source selection, integration and test and verification for advanced aircraft.
- Experience interpreting component detail drawings, installation drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
Salary
- Primary level salary range: $75,100.00 - $137,600.00
- Secondary level salary range: $93,300.00 - $171,000.00
