Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide MRB stress dispositions for primary and secondary structures.
- Review completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Coordinate with other disciplines during design solution development and communicate clearly across teams.
- Present structural issues and proposed solutions succinctly to internal management and customer representatives.
- Maintain and improve part designs, equipment, and systems to support on-time production.
- Develop robust, practical, and innovative solutions aligned with program objectives.
- Evaluate as-built products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Utilize structural analysis methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, and develop and manipulate large Finite Element Models.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience.
- Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret Clearance (within 6 years).
- Ability to obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time.
- Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.

The position involves analyzing, researching, and developing structural engineering specifications for metals, non-metallics, or composites used in product design and operation across airframe and related subsystems. You will assess damage tolerance and durability for metal and composite airframes, employing tools such as NX CAD, Femap, and Nastran as part of the workflow.
