Principal / Sr Principal Systems Engineer
Job Description
Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program, onsite in Roy, Utah, supporting ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems.
Responsibilities
- Join the Sentinel program team to support use case development, requirements definition and allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification and validation, and requirements traceability.
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to produce systems engineering and design artifacts.
- Engage with technical teams and stakeholders to shape and mature architecture content for large programs.
- Develop and ensure proper representation of system requirements within the model.
- Create systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, covering behavioral, structural, and analytical views.
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
- Establish unified modeling techniques, procedures, and processes for model development, tool integration, and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, with an investigation date in the last 6 years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.
Principal Systems Engineer qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s with 3 years; or a PhD with 1 year.
- 1+ year of experience developing or reviewing requirements in DOORS or a similar tool.
- 1+ year of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) or comparable complex aerospace/defense systems.
- 1+ year of experience working in team environments with leadership responsibilities.
- 1+ year of experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation.
Sr Principal Systems Engineer qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with a PhD.
- 2+ years of experience with requirements management, analysis, or allocations.
- 2+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering / MBSE practices and tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or MagicDRAW.
- 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following domains: Command and Control, physical security, cybersecurity, NC3 systems, communications systems, facility design, or military aerospace development (for example Sentinel, MMIII, B-2, B-21 delivery systems).
