Job Description

This role centers on autonomous, collaborative full-stack software development for satellite command and control systems, leveraging web technologies, cloud capabilities, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate software for government systems using industry best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Provide ongoing development support for mission applications and frameworks.
  • Collaborate within a DevOps oriented development team and leverage a technology-supported development infrastructure.
  • Maintain deployed systems, build new capabilities, diagnose issues, and assist end users as needed.
  • Demonstrate a proactive learning mindset and promote the adoption of innovative technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers on the job as required.
  • Adapt existing baselines to new architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience with ActiveMQ messaging systems
  • Expertise in algorithm development
  • Experience with Astro UXDS
  • Strong background in data management
  • Expertise in configuration management and version control
  • Experience with Space OpsC2 (Operations Command and Control) systems and procedures
  • Experience using a shared baseline across multiple development efforts concurrently
  • Experience collaborating with diverse, multi-site, multi-company teams

Job Details

  • Salary: USD 117,000 - 250,500 per year
  • Locations: Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO; also potential location in Chantilly, VA
  • Minimum experience: 7 years
