Sr Associate, Systems Engineer (Space Optics)
Job Description
The Sr Associate, Systems Engineer (Space Optics) role at L3Harris Technologies is an onsite position based in Rochester, NY, focusing on space optics systems engineering for space telescope programs. The role involves performing technical analysis, requirements management, leading design reviews, and guiding test verification and EIDP generation. The salary range is USD 70,500 to 130,500 per year, and a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Responsibilities
- Support product test and design verification, requirements sell-off, risk assessments and mitigations, end item data package generation efforts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as a member of a multi-disciplined integrated product team
- Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness
- Utilize systems engineering tools and methodologies to support model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
- Professional experience in systems engineering role supporting requirements, design, manufacturing, and integration of systems
- Professional experience working with MBSE tools and methodologies
- Experience working on aerospace products
