F-22 Air Vehicle Subsystems Mechanical Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)
Job Description
Mid-Level or Senior Mechanical Subsystems Engineer on the F-22 Air Vehicle program in Berkeley, MO, concentrating on life support systems.
Responsibilities
- Support design, testing, and field upkeep of mechanical and fluid systems for the F-22 fighter
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define interfaces and derive system and subsystem requirements
- Occasionally perform detailed design work, including spatial integration of CAD models for subsystem components within a cross-functional team
- Maintain and modify platform system drawings to provide clear documentation for downstream users
- Troubleshoot anomalies in fielded hardware and software across the full product lifecycle
- Work with minimal supervision to coordinate with technical and non-technical disciplines for program execution
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and requirement compliance
- Prepare technical documents for presentations, customer reviews, and proposals
- Operate under the general direction of the technical lead and chief engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Materials Science
- 3+ years of experience with aerospace vehicles and components, including relevant standards and practices
- Willing to travel up to 10%

Compensation
- Mid-level pay range: $103,700 โ $140,300 per year
- Senior pay range: $126,650 โ $171,350 per year
