Job Description

Mid-Level or Senior Mechanical Subsystems Engineer on the F-22 Air Vehicle program in Berkeley, MO, concentrating on life support systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, testing, and field upkeep of mechanical and fluid systems for the F-22 fighter
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define interfaces and derive system and subsystem requirements
  • Occasionally perform detailed design work, including spatial integration of CAD models for subsystem components within a cross-functional team
  • Maintain and modify platform system drawings to provide clear documentation for downstream users
  • Troubleshoot anomalies in fielded hardware and software across the full product lifecycle
  • Work with minimal supervision to coordinate with technical and non-technical disciplines for program execution
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and requirement compliance
  • Prepare technical documents for presentations, customer reviews, and proposals
  • Operate under the general direction of the technical lead and chief engineer

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Materials Science
  • 3+ years of experience with aerospace vehicles and components, including relevant standards and practices
  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Compensation

  • Mid-level pay range: $103,700 โ€“ $140,300 per year
  • Senior pay range: $126,650 โ€“ $171,350 per year
