Phantom Works Proprietary Structural Analysis Engineer (Experienced/Senior)
Job Description
An experienced or senior Phantom Works Structural Analysis Engineer is sought to join Boeing Defense, Space & Security, onsite in Berkeley, Missouri. The role focuses on establishing structural requirements, performing analyses and coordinating testing to validate systems and support certification on advanced aircraft programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to shape the system design.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by applying and advancing analytical methods, finite element models and other analysis tools across the product lifecycle to define the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product environment.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and report test results to confirm that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences.
- Level 3: five or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Level 4: nine or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required; a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
- Top Secret/SCI clearance is required after start, and Special Access Program (SAP) access is required after start.
- Experience with Finite Element Modeling tools, including NASTRAN and PATRAN.
- Experience with aerospace stress analysis and/or structural analysis.
- Candidates must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment.
