HNTB Corporation is expanding its bridge engineering team with a Bridge Engineer III role that will be on site in North Charleston, South Carolina or Raleigh, North Carolina. The position centers on producing and updating design calculations, technical reports, and plans for assigned projects, working in close collaboration with the project manager. A successful candidate may mentor junior engineers and contribute to delivering multi-discipline projects.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work within the allocated schedule and hours.
- Support the development of project specifications.
- Lead the creation of discipline-specific deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
- Help coordinate project team activities to maintain productivity.
- Provide technical mentorship to less experienced engineering team members.
- Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Conduct quality control checks on discipline-specific deliverables.
- Assist with planning schedules, hours, and workload distribution within the discipline.
- Carry out other duties as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience
- PhD in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience
